What Is an AI Agent?
An AI agent is a piece of software that can perceive input (documents, emails, data, messages), reason about it, and take action — without a human doing it manually each time. Think of it as a very capable member of staff that never gets tired, works 24/7, and scales instantly.
Perceive
Reads emails, PDFs, form submissions, database records, API responses — whatever your business runs on.
Reason
Uses a large language model to understand context, apply your business rules, and decide what to do — not just match keywords.
Act
Updates your CRM, sends an email, creates a task, generates a document, escalates to a human — whichever action is right.
What We Build for UK Businesses
These aren't demos — they're the kinds of agents we build and deliver for clients across legal, finance, healthcare, and operations.
Legal & Professional Services
Contract Review & Extraction Agent
A solicitor or legal team receives dozens of contracts weekly. Manually reviewing each one for key clauses — termination periods, liability caps, GDPR obligations, payment terms — takes hours per document.
The agent: receives the PDF, extracts all key clauses into a structured summary, flags anything unusual against your standard terms, and logs it directly into your case management system — in under 60 seconds.
Similar to our work with Thornton Solicitors, where we reduced missed deadline risk by 45%.
Sales & Marketing
Inbound Lead Qualification Agent
Your sales team wastes hours chasing enquiries that were never going to convert. Every unqualified call is time stolen from real opportunities.
The agent: intercepts inbound form submissions and emails, asks clarifying questions via automated follow-up, scores the lead against your ideal client profile, and only routes qualified leads to your CRM — flagged with a summary and recommended next step.
Operations & HR
Internal Knowledge Assistant
Staff spend enormous time hunting for answers buried in policy documents, old emails, and wikis. New starters take weeks to get up to speed. Senior staff get interrupted constantly.
The agent: connects to your document library, intranet, CRM, and HR system. Staff ask questions in plain English — "What's our refund policy for corporate accounts?" or "Show me all open tickets for Nexova Health" — and get an accurate answer with source citations, instantly.
Finance & Operations
Invoice Processing & Reconciliation Agent
Finance teams manually process hundreds of supplier invoices — matching them to purchase orders, coding to the right nominal, chasing approvals, and entering into Xero or Sage. It's error-prone and time-consuming.
The agent: reads incoming invoices from email, extracts supplier, amount, line items and VAT, matches against open POs, applies your nominal coding rules, flags exceptions for human review, and posts approved invoices to your accounting system automatically.
How We Build AI Agents
We don't sell off-the-shelf tools with an agency markup. Every agent is built specifically for your workflows, integrated with your systems, and tested against your real data.
Process Audit
We map the exact workflow you want to automate — inputs, decision points, actions, edge cases. If we spot a better approach than what you originally imagined, we'll say so.
Design & Integration Plan
We define the agent's architecture: which AI model, what tools it can call, which systems it reads from and writes to, and where human oversight fits in.
Build & Test
Built on your existing stack (Node.js, Python, or whichever fits). Tested on real documents and data — not synthetic samples. Edge cases handled upfront, not as surprises after launch.
Deploy & Monitor
Deployed with full logging, confidence thresholds, and a human-review queue for anything the agent isn't certain about. You stay in control at all times.

Common Questions
Do I need to replace my existing software?
No. AI agents are designed to sit alongside your existing systems — reading from and writing to them. You don't need to change your CRM, accounting software, or email to benefit.
Is my data safe? Where does it go?
We take data security seriously. Agents run on UK/EU infrastructure. Where AI processing requires sending data to a model provider, we use data processing agreements and ensure no training on your data. We'll cover this in detail before any work starts.
What if the agent makes a mistake?
Every agent we build has configurable confidence thresholds — anything below a defined certainty level is queued for human review rather than actioned automatically. You're always in control of how much autonomy the agent has.
How long does a project take?
A focused single-workflow agent typically takes 3–5 weeks from scoping to deployment. Multi-step agents and platforms run 8–14 weeks. We give you a fixed timeline at the proposal stage.
We're a small business — is this for us?
Often yes. Some of the highest ROI automations are in 5–30 person businesses where a single repetitive task consumes a disproportionate amount of one person's time. If you can clearly describe the process, we can usually automate it.
